The 21 years old violinist Martina Trumpp, has
received several awards including the first prize on
national level at the German youth competition
“Jugend musiziert” in 2004 and the special prize
of the jury for her ”extraordinary artistic
temperament” at the “Premio Rodolfo Lipizer“
in 2005. In November 2005 she won the prize of the
“Jütting Stiftung” Stendal and in June 2006 the
prize of the “Fricke Stiftung“ Ansbach, in
February 2007 the prize of the "Theodor Rogler
Stiftung". In September 2007 she received the
Youth Culture Prize of the city of Ansbach and in
May 2008 got a special award of the “Kottmann
competition”. In addition she is a scholar of the
“Rotary Club Ansbach”, the “Lutz E. Adolf
Stiftung für Hochbegabte” and the "Hans
Rudolf Stiftung". Other scholarships include
the “Kronberg Academy” and the “Detmold Summer
Academy”.
As a soloist she has performed with the “Ansbach
Chamber Orchestra”, the “Wuerzburg Chamber
Orchestra”, the “Youth Orchestra Baden-Baden”,
the “Wuerzburg Philharmony”, The “Thuringia
Symphony”, the “Dusseldorf Symphony” and the
“Classic Philharmony Hamburg”. In May of 2006
she gave her debut in the Hamburg Musikhalle playing
the Tchaikovsky Violin Concerto. The last concerts
included the Brahms
Concerto with the “Youth Symphony Orchestra
Herford” and the Mendelssohn Concerto with the
“Young Tonkuenstler Orchestra” in the Bayreuth
Opernhaus.
Further concert engagements include the Mozart Concerto in A-Major with the
“Oettingen Chamber Orchestra”, Vivaldi Four
Seasons with the “Oecumenic Philharmony” and the
“Kurpfaelzisches Chamber Orchestra” and the
Haydn C-Major Concerto with the “Vienna Chamber
Orchestra” in the Vienna Konzerthaus.
She gave recitals in several renowned festivals
including the “Bayreuth Easter Festival”, the
“Music Summer Schönberg”, the “Oberstdorf
Music Summer”, the “Franconian Summer”, the
“Semaine international de piano” Blonay,
“Steingraeber” in Bayreuth and others. Among
others she has worked with Tanja Becker-Bender and
is a member of the "Würzburg String
Quartet".
Since March 2008 Martina plays a historic Violin
made by Pietro Pallotta, Perugia (1788-1822), loaned
to her by the “Deutsche Stiftung Musikleben” for
her success at the 16th Competition of the
“Deutsche Musikinstrumentenfonds” in Hamburg.
She is an active member of "Crescendo".
Martina Trumpp received her first violin lessons at
the age of eight and in 1999 became a student of
Prof. Conrad von der Goltz at the Music Conservatory
in Würzburg. Since 2004 she has been studying there
with Prof. Herwig Zack, where she took her diploma
in July 2008 "with excellence". She attended master classes
with Prof. Ana Chumachenco, Prof. Kurt Saßmannshaus,
Prof. Yfrah Neaman, Prof. Petru Munteanu and Prof.
Eckhard Fischer and – following an invitation by
the “Bavarian Broadcasting” - with Christian
Tetzlaff.
Martina took her A-Levels in May of 2004 at the age
of 17. Besides music she is studying mathematics.
